Despite the availability of products like sustainable cleaners in the marketplace, consumers don’t always buy them. Even though many consumers say they care about ethical issues like protecting the environment and paying workers fair wages, why isn’t this concern always reflected in what they buy? In this session, Dr. Rebecca Walker Reczek will discuss her research exploring the psychological barriers consumers face to making ethical purchases and offer insights into how marketers can help consumers’ purchases better match their values.
