New Executive Committee Appointment and Academic Trustees

At the November 2008 Trustees Meeting, Bryan Maach from Cisco Systems, Inc. was appointed to the Executive Committee of the MSI Board of Trustees. At Cisco, Bryan is Vice President, Market Research and Analysis, and has been a member of the Board of Trustees since 2004. The Executive Committee sets the general policies that guide MSI operations.

Also at the November meeting, three new Academic Trustees were appointed: Donna L. Hoffman, University of California, Riverside, Jamie (Jainmin) Jia, Southwest Jiaotong University, and David K. Tse, University of Hong Kong. Roland T. Rust, University of Maryland, was appointed as an Academic Trustee at the April 2008 Trustees Meeting. Academic Trustees serve as advisors to MSI’s research efforts and represent the academic community to MSI’s business constituency.
