INFORMS Society of Marketing Science Fellows Named
At the June 2008 Marketing Science conference in Vancouver, the INFORMS Society for Marketing Science (ISMS) installed its inaugural Fellows. The ISMS Fellow Award recognizes cumulative long term-contribution to the mission of ISMS: “…to foster the development, dissemination, and implementation of knowledge, basic and applied research, and science and technologies that improve the understanding and practice of marketing.”
The ISMS Fellows include several distinguished members of the MSI community:
- Executive Director Russ Winer, William Joyce Professor of Marketing, New York University
- 1995-97 Executive Director David Montgomery, Sebastian S. Kresge Professor of Marketing Strategy, Emeritus, Stanford University
- 1991-93 Executive Director Richard Staelin, Edward and Rose Donnell Professor of Business, Duke University
- Academic Trustee John Hauser, Kierin Professor of Marketing, M.I.T.
The inaugural Fellows also include: Frank M. Bass, Professor of Marketing Science, University of Texas at Dallas until his death in 2006; Gary Lilien, Distinguished Research Professor of Management Science, Smeal College of Business Administration, Pennsylvania State University; John D.C. Little, Institute Professor, M.I.T.; Donald Morrison, William E. Leonhard Professor of Management, Anderson School of Management, UCLA; Steven M. Shugan, Russell Berrie Foundation Eminent Scholar and Professor, Warrington College of Business Administration, University of Florida; and Chuck Weinberg, SMEV Presidents Professor in Marketing, Sauder School of Business, University of British Columbia.
