Erin Anderson died on November 21 at age 52. She was the John H. Loudon Chaired Professor of International Management and Professor of Marketing at INSEAD which she joined in 1994. The author of two books and numerous scholarly articles, Erin was widely regarded as a scholar and as a mentor to Ph.D. students. She won many of the field’s most prestigious awards, including the Louis Stern Award from the Journal of Marketing Research and the Decade Award from the Journal of International Business Studies.
Prior to joining INSEAD, Erin was a faculty member at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She received her Ph.D. in marketing from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA, where she met her future husband, Hubert Gatignon.
In April 2006, she was appointed an MSI Academic Trustee, serving as an advisor to MSI's research efforts.
