Dominique Hanssens, MSI’s 2005–07 Executive Director, has been awarded the Gilbert A. Churchill Award for lifetime achievement in the academic study of marketing research.
Hanssens, who completed his two-year term as executive director in June 2007, is the Bud Knapp Professor of Marketing at the UCLA Anderson Graduate School of Management, where he has been on the faculty since 1977. His research focuses on strategic marketing problems, in particular marketing productivity, to which he applies his expertise in data-analytic methods such as econometrics and time-series analysis.

The Churchill Award is administered by the Marketing Research Special Interest Group of the American Marketing Association. Past recipients include former MSI Executive Director Donald R. Lehmann, who was given the award in 2005.
